A Granny Crochet Rug

Inspired by Sammy and her Mama Blanket
16 large granny squares hooked in Alpaca Super Chunky
I joined the squares using the single crochet technique giving each square a nice border

Due to running short on yarn I had to make a mixture of patterned squares
Laying them out in a random order caused some late night distress to my OCD heart
However, there is order in my randomness and I can live with it in fact
I LOVE it

A super warm super cozy snuggly rug perfect for these Autumnal nights

Embrace the random (it's pretty exciting on the random side of life!! ) xxx

Our local Hospice gives out blankets and shawls like this one. I was given one when my mom died and I love it. There is something about crochet made by others that makes me feel loved.

Random is the new black you know :) Looks very cosy and snugly just the way a crochet rug should. Lisa xx

Lovely! I thought your "random" was actually intentional - looks perfect.

Looking forward to trying some chunky-as wool :)
Be proud, I've just signed up for the crochet toys club for the school gala. That's right.
