This quilt was made a while ago for a friend who struggles with depression
She shares her journey openly and honestly. I watch my friend and her struggles from the sidelines often feeling so helpless. I understand depression ~ a little ~
I have been trying for the past month to get this to her, however, coffee dates were planned and then cancelled at the last minute - depression does that.
However, today she didn't cancel . . . . and we got to sit down for coffee, cake and we chatted
And I got to give her a giant big quilt hug
"We are not alone, look we are loved"
Those were the words spoken to her daughter as she looked over the quilt, and my heart broke and my tears welled . . . oh my darling friend no you are not alone and you are very much loved xxx

Ok now I'm crying.
I think that is my favourite quilt of yours so far, so beautiful and meaningful x x x
I'm so glad you were able to connect with your friend. Depression is very real, and should not be experienced alone. Hugs.
Oh this is such a lovely sweet post, what a great friend you are to your friend! Such a lovely quilt.
love it xxx
Lovely happy quilt - hope she feels loved and treasured when she snuggles in it x
oh I know depression all too well.Hugs to your friend !! oh and lovely lady you really are one in a million you are awesome CAT !! hugs xo
A lovely quilt holding a beautiful message. I do hope your friend manages to find comfort from it on her dark days. Winston Churchill suffered from depression and he called it "the black dog" which is probably a very apt description. A horrid condition which, unfortunately, is all too prevalent today. Good luck to your friend. She will be boosted by your lovely gift, a tangible sign of your love and affection and concern for her. Hope you manage to have lots more coffee and cake dates.
What a fabulous thoughtful gift, Lovely you!

Love and Light

You did a wonderful thing for your friend. Depression stinks, but having this quilt hug will make it better.
