Crochet Poppy

ANZAC Day has always been special day for me having two grandfathers who were in the services.  One served overseas in the Airforce and the other here in NZ protecting our home shores with the Army.

After being to Belgium, visiting Tyne Cot Cemetery and seeing the names, graves and final resting places of the many NZ sons, brothers, husbands, some just boys who never made it home.
ANZAC Day has become even more special/significant.

This year using Kandipandi's Lest We Forget crochet pattern I hooked up my very own poppy and wore it with pride on ANZAC Day

Great idea - you'll have a collection built up over the years. Love it.
