Tracys Quilt Of Love - part 1

Leonie from Kiwi At Heart and I have been working away quietly on something BIG something humbling something so incredibly precious something which at times has had both of us overwhelmed .. .. ..

Tracy's Quilt of Love

3 years ago Tracy from Inside The Scrap Heap lost her husband Jason who at 33 was killed by a Prison Inmate in the Prison he had worked at for only 6 months.

You can read her posts:

After Tracy commented on my Spotty Dotty Wonky Dresden post

It is STUNNING!! I absolutely love it! I wish I could sew, I have all Jason's clothes here that I want to do something with but I am too scared I will stuff it up if I did it myself. You are inspiring xxx

I contacted her asking if she would allow me to turn Jasons clothes into a quilt.

I am overwhelmed right now. I have always wanted to make a quilt with Jason’s clothes but because I am not very good with the sewing machine I have been putting it off because I didn’t want to make a mess of it. I would accept this offer gratefully. I cannot tell you how much this means to me

The journey of the quilt will be told over 3 parts
Tracy's Quilt of Love is currently with Leeanne of Quilt Me Kiwi

Cat I love that you are leaving good footprints in the world. Footprints that go into the hearts of people xxx I love that you and Leonie have done this together. I love that Tracy will receive something that will mean so much more to her than anyone could understand. It's good, good stuff xx

It is an amazing thing you are doing for Tracey. Three of our members and i made four quilts for a young lady and her three children out of her hubby/dad's clothes this year.
They absolutely LOVE their quilts. I am sure Tracey will too.
