Last week I forced myself (or my health forced me) to take two days off and just be gentle.
During the warmth of the afternoon sun I curled up under a quilt on my outside couch with a cup of tea and hand stitched the binding on this my latest quilt make "Modern Op-Shopped Rose Garden".

In the evenings after a long relaxing candlelit bath, I would emerge, snuggling once more under my quilt, armed with another cup of tea, hot water bottle and a book.
Lost in the 1880's in the small coal mining settlement of Denniston (NZ), I enjoyed the respite, feeling ready to face the weekend, and the week ahead.

That quilt is perfect- vintage fabric, crisp modern lines and great quilting. I bet it was therapeutic!
