Inspired by Debs tutorial for Dresden Plate Without Template
I started making my Dresden circles
A lot happened between then and now and my Dresdens were put in a basket and forgotten about
Late last year inspired by The Modern Quilting Bee Block Party
I pulled my scrappy Dresdens out and set out to give them a modern feel
ALL fabric except for the white (which I needed to purchase) was used from either my stash or Tsunamis toddler clothing
Leeanne of QuiltMeKiwi did the free motion quilting
And I LOVE the messages of LOVE quilted into the wonky frames

Over Easter I sat down with 12 metres of binding and hand sewed it on determined that I would finally get my Spotty Dotty Scrappy Wonky Dresden Quilt completed.
It feels kind of surreal that after all the quilts I've either made, finished or contributed to ~ tonight for the first time, I will climb into bed under a quilt I've made.

Absolutely stunning Cat, what an heirloom quilt you have created. Dresdens are so pretty, I've just had a go at my first one, they are a lot quicker to piece than what I expected.
Wow - it really is beautiful. Can't believe I get to see you in less than one week too.....EXCITED MUCH!
I love your new quilt and it will make a lovely heirloom for Tsunami.
