Wednesday, Mum arrived and greeted me with the biggest hug.
A hug from your Mum can make everything seem as ok as it's going to be for now
Thursday we drove to the Waikato to be with the rest of our family
We had expected this, we had spent time together . . . It didn't come as a surprise or a shock.
It has a left a gap bigger than I imagined in my life.
And ever has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
Sadness is but a wall between two gardens.
Grief is the price we pay for love.
A walk in the rose garden and a play in the park after the service.

A sad day which you all survived together. The old cliche, a day at a time, and you will get through.
