Simplicity ~ With Love

December last year my Mr B had a 40th birthday AND a work Christmas party, out of town all in the same weekend.

Two nights child free and a weekend away.
Perfectly perfect in every way.

2014 wasn't easy and there were hard things we faced I didn't share here.
We survived . . . we faced each obstacle/hurdle together, we closed down when necessary, called on friends when needed and gratefully accepted help when offered.
I learnt some hard lessons.  I learnt some good lessons.
I accepted many things and I found peace.

The more you appreciate simplicity, the more profound your understanding becomes.

Knowing what we had faced and overcame during 2014
We wrote a list of goals and dreams for 2015

So far we've achieved two of our goals.
I've lost 16 kilos and today I brought a pair of size 10 jeans.
In February we paid off our mortgage, Mr B always said we would be mortgage free by 40.

As for our dreams.
In May we will be visiting my brother and his family in Korea, I am beyond excited!
October my life long dream of visiting Australia's OutBack and Ayres Rock will be realised.
I'm currently training for the Auckland Half Marathon which takes place in November and in December my degree will be completed ~ although I do keep joking with my Mr B that I might just do my masters.

"When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark"

Great goals! Two fabulous ones achieved already! I like the words you have chosen are the Liverpool Football Club's anthem? It always seem to inspire them when the fans sang it lustily.
