A few months ago Leonie of Sunshine x3 hosted an Ironing Board Cover Swap
And with an ironing board cover looking like this, is it any surprise I signed up immediately . . .
My partner was friend and fellow blogger
Fiona from Foot on the Treadle
I reached into my stash and found fabric
I followed on line tutorials
I reached out to friends for advice
The ironing board cover was sent to try me
3 broken safety pins & 4 types of elastic later
I had completed an ironing board cover
I posted it off to Fiona and waited
It fitted AND she loved it - double win
Yesterday a parcel arrived from Fiona
I opened it in hurried anticipation
And was not disappointed
Look at my gorgeous new ironing board cover complete with brand new padding
Patchwork detail
Fiona remembered how much I love this fabric
I'd brought some from her quilting and online store More Than Fabric earlier in the year
And the best thing - my ironing board cover matches my sewing room stool!
Thank you Leonie for hosting the Ironing Board Cover swap
and
Thank you Fiona for such a wonderful Ironing Board Cover
which is a million times better than my $2 shop cover
